On June 21, 1957, the United Nations military unilaterally announced its abandonment of its obligations under paragraph 13 of the North Korean Armistice Agreement on the prohibition of the shipment of reinforcements to North Korea and declared that it would carry the new arms into South Korea. This is a grave provocation by the United States that overtly defaulted on the armistice in North Korea and threatens the peace in North Korea and the Far East. On 26 June 1957, the Government of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea issued a statement strongly protesting the unjust act of the UN troops that publicly destroyed the armistice in North Korea and proposed convening the relevant national meeting to discuss the situation in North Korea. The government of the People’s Republic of China fully supports North Korea’s democracy
