预制钢筋混凝土空心板梁时,空心部分的芯模一般使用橡胶充气皮袋。这种芯模需要特殊加工制作,造价高,易破裂漏气,不适合预制构件不多的中小空心板梁桥施工使用。四平市公路工程段在进行空心板梁预制中,使用了自行制作的以钢筋、竹片为材料的弹性芯模,收到了良好的效果。这种弹性芯模的主要特点是:造价低、制作简单、使用方便、周转率高、适合中小空心板梁桥空心板预制使用。
