1984年12月2日至4日,中国土木工程学会第四届理事扩大会议在北京召开。参加这次会议的有来自全国各地的本届理事、部分三届理事、土木工程界的老前辈、知名学者、老专家和热心学会工作的领导干部等各方面的代表共113人。大会由第三届理事会副理事长李国豪同志主持。第三届理事会理事长茅以升同志致开幕词。中国科协书记处书记刘东生同志出席开幕式并在会上讲了话。会议分组审议了三届临时常务理事会的工作报告,并对今后如何开创学会工作的新局面和学会的章程(草案)进行了认真的讨论,提出了很多修改意见。
On December 2-4, 1984, the Fourth Council of Directors of the China Civil Engineering Society expanded its meeting in Beijing. At the conference, there were 113 delegates from all walks of life from all over the country including representatives of the current directors, some of the three directors, senior members of the civil engineering community, well-known scholars, old experts, and leading cadres who enthusiastically learned to work. The conference was chaired by Comrade Li Guohao, Vice Chairman of the Third Council. Comrade Mao Yisheng, chairman of the third board of directors, made an opening speech. Comrade Liu Dongsheng, secretary of the Secretariat of the China Association for Science and Technology, attended the opening ceremony and spoke at the meeting. The group reviewed the work report of the three interim standing councils, and discussed the new situation of how to create the work of the society and the constitution (draft) of the society in the future, and put forward many amendment opinions.
