现代拖拉机和联合收割机所用的发动机,其发展特点是通过增大涡轮增压器的增压比或中间冷却增压空气来不断提高其平均有效压力。降低增压空气温度也可减小发动机零件的热应力。采用中间冷却增压空气作为提高平均有效压力和减小发动机零件热应力的方法已经得到了广泛的应用。外国各种型号的废气涡轮增压柴油机中,有五分之一安装了各种各样的增压空气冷却系统。
The engines used in modern tractors and combine harvesters have been developed to continuously increase their mean effective pressure by increasing the turbocharger charge-pressure ratio or intercooled charge air. Lowering the charge air temperature also reduces the thermal stress on the engine components. The use of intercooled charge air as a method of increasing the mean effective pressure and reducing the thermal stress of engine components has been widely used. One in every five foreign turbocharged diesel engines has a variety of charge air cooling systems installed.
