肠道细菌能提升运动员能力

在近日召开的美国化学学会第254届全国会议上,哈佛医学院研究人员称,他们发现在顶级赛跑者和赛艇运动员体内的微生物中可能存在提升其最终表现的细菌。科学家此前的研究发现,在激烈运动时,运动员的身体会产生比平时多的乳酸,乳酸分解有助于缓解他们的肌肉疲劳和酸痛。众所周知,肠道中的细菌帮我们分解碳水化合物、蛋白质和纤维,也与炎症和神经功能息息相关,因此科学家们认为,微生物与运动员的耐力、肌肉恢复或精神上的韧性有关。为了识别出能提高运动表现的细菌,研究人员提取了20位参加2015年波士顿马拉松的 At a recent meeting of the 254th National Assembly of the American Chemical Society, researchers at Harvard Medical School said they found there could be bacteria in the top runners and rowers that boost their ultimate performance. Earlier studies by scientists found that during intense sports, athletes' bodies produce more lactic acid than usual, and lactate breakdown helps relieve their muscle fatigue and soreness. It is well-known that bacteria in the intestine help us to break down carbohydrates, proteins and fibers, and are also linked to inflammation and neurological function. Therefore, scientists believe that microorganisms are related to endurance, muscle recovery or mental toughness of athletes.
