有些岩溶大泉,随着天气变化发生颜色变化,这是自然界中有趣的奇特现象。如这些地区的农民凭经验认为当地泉水变成褐黄色,天就要下雨了等等。弄清它的奥妙,很有必要。现以四川省古蔺县的天堂岩溶大泉为例,说明这种泉水能预报天气的实质。天堂岩溶大泉出露于二叠系阳新灰岩顶部,与上覆硫铁矿层(厚3—5米)直接接触。许多河溪地表水进入阳新灰岩后,则变成潜流,补给阳新灰岩中十分发育的暗河。暗河贯穿整个阳新灰岩地层,并在其顶部冲涌而出,成为天堂岩溶大泉(暗河出口)。该泉一般流量500—1000升每秒;最大流量24500
