The “Asia-Europe Earthquake Tectonics” compiled by the Institute of Geology, State Seismological Bureau has been published by the Map Publishing House. Asia and Europe are dotted with the world’s most famous Western Pacific Seismic Belt and the Mediterranean-Himalayan Seismic Belt. They are also the most active areas in the world for intra-earthquakes. Due to the complexity and diversity of the modern tectonic movements in Asia and Europe, the region includes almost all types of tectonic earthquakes in the world. The figure provides the basic information for studying the seismic structure, seismic zoning and earthquake prediction. Based on a large amount of data analyzed and studied, the tectonic map of Asia-Europe earthquake has been compiled based on the tectonic plate tectonics.
