认识申春平是在’98中国长春电影节上。申春平作为美国影片《神探亨特》的扮演者孚莱德·德雷尔先生的邀请者和在中国的代理人,同孚莱德·德雷尔先生一道接受了我们的采访。采访中,我们惊喜地发现,申春平原来是长春人,父亲曾经是吉林省省委的主要负责人。1987年,申春平漂洋过海,到了美国西密执根大学攻读法学研究生,毕业后又考入了爱荷华大学攻读博士学位。1994年,他完成了法学院的全部课程和毕业论文,戴上了博士帽。随后,申春平到好莱坞声名显赫的加州律师协会副主席赫利律师手下当法律助理,一边处理与电影有关的版权、专利珐问题,一边与上海电视台14频道合作拍摄了《大西洋风情录》等电视新闻专题片。1995年,拿到了律师执照的申春平在加州的柔似蜜市成立了“申春平律师事务所”,专门从事各类商业诉讼案,以及移民法庭和刑事法庭的出庭辩护。现在,申春平在美国担任着中国旅美律师协会会长、东北同乡会副会长、美国工商团体联合会常务理事等职。
Meet Shen Chunping at the ’98 China Changchun Film Festival. Shen Chunping, as an inviter of Mr. Fuller Dreyer, an actor in the American film “The Detective Hunter,” and an agent in China, interviewed Mr. Flash Dreyer. During the interview, we were pleasantly surprised to find that Shen Chunping was originally a Changchun native and his father was once the principal person in charge of Jilin Provincial Party Committee. In 1987, Shen Chunping traveled across the ocean to the West Michigan University to pursue a law graduate, after graduating from the University of Iowa admitted to a doctorate. In 1994, he completed all the law school courses and graduation thesis, wearing a Dr. Hat. Subsequently, Shen Chunping went to Hollywood as the legal representative of Helmsley, the vice-president of the California Bar Association, while handling film-related copyright and patent issues while filming “The Atlantic Catalog” with Shanghai TV Station No. 14 Feature films. In 1995, Shen Chunping, who had obtained a lawyer’s license, established “Shen Chunping Law Firm” in Rousseau, California, specializing in various commercial litigation cases as well as admissions in immigration and criminal courts. Now, Shen Chunping holds the posts of president of the China-United States Bar Association, vice chairman of the Association of Northeastern China, and executive director of the United States Business Federation in the United States.
