在湿型铸造中,先预震,然后多触头压加震,达到的紧实效果是其他造型工艺无法比拟的。然而震动噪声高达110分贝(A),令人难以忍受,而且震动部分磨损严重。因此,世界各国的铸造工作者都在努力研究发展新造型法。目前已经出现了许多新工艺,如:薄膜压实造型法;真空密封造型法;射压造型法;静压造型法;气体冲击造型法(燃气冲击或压缩空气冲击),还有许多不成熟的造型法。在上述各种造型法中,只有气体冲击(高速压力波冲击)造型法的紧实效果,能达到震实造型法的水平。
