尼克松时期中美关系的突破为解决台湾问题提供了新的契机。但事实证明,美国在这一时期实行的是双轨制外交,对华缓和的政策与美国对台继续支持的政策是并行不悖的。本文以美国新解密外交档案为依据,专门探讨尼克松时期的对台政策,认为这一时期美国的对台政策是其传统“两个中国”政策的变相,其实质是服务于中美缓和的形势要求,最大化地维护美国的全球战略利益。
The breakthrough in Sino-U.S. Relations during the Nixon period provided a new opportunity to solve the Taiwan issue. Facts have proved that the United States implemented a two-track system of diplomacy during this period. The policy of easing its policy towards China is in line with the U.S. policy of continuing its support for Taiwan. Based on the newly decrypted diplomatic archives of the United States, this article focuses on Nixon’s policy toward Taiwan and believes that the U.S. policy toward Taiwan during this period is the disguise of its traditional “two Chinas” policies.
