October 5, 2013 South Asia Article 1 HVDC transmission lines linking India and Bangladesh are operational, opening the way for power sharing and cooperation in the region. Starting from the eastern grid in India to the western grid in Bangladesh, the substation test was started in September 2013 and started grid operation on October 5 to better control the flow of the two grids and improve the stability of the grid .
