The article discusses the product design specialty of colleges and universities in economically underdeveloped areas. It is urgent to put forward the reform of specialized positioning that varies from one school to another. The reform of thematic courses is the best experimental field and touchstone for the reform of talent training programs. Setting the great advantage of the special subject class provides a new reform mentality for product design professional development in the economically less developed regions.
