当前,我国普通高校的公共艺术教育相对薄弱,教材建设也处于各自为政的状态,亟需加强建设。为此,既要按照国家要求出版高质量的八门艺术限定性选修课程系列教材,也要重视出版具有地方及高校特色的艺术任意性选修课程或系列专题讲座教材和相应的辅助读物。同时,在教材编撰出版中,还要处理好八门艺术课之间的繁略关系、国家规划教材和各校自编教材的关系、初版与修订的关系等,力争打造出高校公共艺术教育的精品教材。
