Antihypertensive drugs in elderly patients must be careful. This article reports an elderly patient with Leriche syndrome (aplastic Aplasia Thrombosis Syndrome) who died of anuria following renal arterial thrombosis after depressurization with Atenolol. The author believes that the treatment of hypertension such complications have not been reported in the past. The patient, a 70-year-old man, was admitted to hospital for three days on an November 21, 1981, anuria.
