灵官公社属丘陵地区,是一个双季稻区。在毛主席无产阶级革命路线指引下,随着“农业学大寨”群众运动的深入开展,广大贫下中农大搞科学种田,在抓好其他增产措施的同时,狠抓了病虫害的综合防治,一九六八年以来,全公社连续六年粮食亩产超千斤。一九七三年粮食亩产达1280斤,一九七四年在严重干旱条件下,粮食生产仍然获得较好的收成。
