一、引言以前章节中讨论了完善四极场中的离子运动。实际上场的不完善性总是在某种程度上存在着的。圆截面电极比双曲线截面得到了极为广泛的应用。射频场除基频外可能还有谐波,电极间距的小误差也是可能有的。完善场的局部偏差可能不那么重要,但影响离子整个飞行路径的系统误差就很重要。这种误差在高分辨装置中以及在具有长离子路径的离子陷阱中特别重要。
I. INTRODUCTION The previous chapter discussed the improvement of ion motion in a quadrupole field. In fact the imperfection of the field always exists to some extent. Circular cross-section electrodes have a very wide range of applications than hyperbolic cross-sections. The RF field may have harmonics beyond the fundamental frequency, and small errors in electrode spacing are possible. It may not be that important to perfect the local bias of the field, but systematic errors that affect the entire ion flight path are important. This error is particularly important in high resolution devices and in ion traps with long ion paths.
