In 1970, W.L.Masterton and T.P.Lee calculated the salt effect coefficient of non-polar solute in aqueous electrolyte by using the calibrated particle theory, and derived the convenient expression of salt effect. In this paper, the calibration particle theory is applied to the polar solute and a salt effect constant expression of solute solute is deduced. Using this expression, the authors calculated the theoretical salting-out constants of acetic acid, n-propionic acid, n-butyric acid, n-caproic acid and n-heptanoic acid in KCl, KBr, NaCl and NaBr solutions. The corrected salting-out constants are closer to the experimental values than the salting-out constants calculated using the Masterton and Lee equations.
