The Advance Payment System (PPS) is a kind of reform that compensates the hospital medical service cost by the American senior medical insurance system. The old-age medical insurance system is a federal health insurance plan for the elderly and the disabled. The PPS replaces the actual cost payment system with the prepayment system for medical service fee payment. The PPS classifies each performer by a DRG according to the DRG classification.
