近年来,美国的中文教学逐渐引起人们的关注。美国联邦政府、非政府组织、外语教育专业组织等,都在采取措施推进中文教学。中国国家汉办等也提供了大量支持。美国中文教学现在面临的挑战,包括教师供应不足、教材不适用、教学标准不统一、中学教学内容同高等院校连接不够紧密等。在美国推广中文教学的过程中,应当整合美中两国的资源,充分考虑美国地方分权的教育管理模式及其特点。同时,应当注意教学人员和教育决策人员之间的沟通与交流,实事求是地开展正面宣传。
In recent years, the teaching of Chinese in the United States has gradually drawn people’s attention. The United States federal government, non-governmental organizations, foreign language education professional organizations, are taking steps to promote Chinese teaching. China Hanban also provided a lot of support. The challenges facing American teaching in the United States now include inadequate supply of teachers, non-availability of teaching materials, non-uniform teaching standards, and the lack of close connection between teaching content in secondary schools and institutions of higher learning. In the process of promoting Chinese teaching in the United States, the United States and China should integrate their resources and give full consideration to the education management mode and its characteristics in the United States. At the same time, attention should be paid to the communication and exchange between teaching staff and educational decision-makers, and the positive publicity should be conducted in a down-to-earth manner.
