Datousaurus bashanensis Dong and Tang (1984) is a Middle Jurassic sauropod dinosaur of the Dashanpu, Sichuan Basin. One of its main features is a huge skull. In the paper, the new material of maxilla and mandible preserved in Chongqing Natural History Museum is described in detail. Pre-preserved maxilla long, high (front), thickness respectively 12 0mm, 12 5mm and 40mm; maxillary length 280mm; mandibular height of 145mm. It is estimated that on each side, jaw teeth were 14 and 12. Tooth thick, spoon-shaped, arranged closely. Presumably skull up to 6 7cm, is the longest known sauropod dinosaurs. Compared with other sauropods at the same site in Dashanpu, Bashang’s dragon jaws also vary, providing new clues for further exploring their feeding habits and paleoenvironment.
