Denco Company unveiled a new lubrication system that is expected to raise the average wheel / rail life from less than a year to more than three years. The method was developed by Denco in cooperation with British Rail to reduce rim wear on Metro trains and suburban combustion and electric car fleets operating on curvilinear orbits. For the first time, British Rail ordered 30 custom-made lubrication systems for use on existing Merseyrail vehicles.
