大连钢厂二轧分厂300轧机加热炉于1982年底进行了大修改造,设计了“双U”形排烟道,在保持炉子有效长度不变的情况下,实现了炉尾上排烟,解决了炉尾冒烟问题。同时还设计了喷流换热器,兼做部分烟囱。并将烟囱闸板安装在烟囱出口处。不仅重量轻、寿命长,而且调节方便。改造后的加热炉,燃料消耗下降40％,连续4年保持特等炉水平,节约重油3984t。
