Domestic steel prices continued to decline At the end of February, the CSPI composite steel price index dropped 96.96 points, down 1.19 points month on month and down 0.28 percentage points from the previous month, falling for the sixth consecutive month. The year-on-year decrease 14.66 points, a decrease of 13.19%. As shown in Figure 1.1, the price of long products dropped more than the price of plate. At the end of February, the index for longs for the CSPI was 98.63 points, down by 1.68 points from the last month and decreased by 1.67%.
