向日葵是一种含油量较高的油料作物,油用型向日葵含油量高达50%左右。榨油后的油饼是很好的家畜精饲料,花盘的饲用价值也很高。向曰葵还具有抗旱、耐盐碱、耐瘠薄及适应性强的特点。我省从1973年开始,在部分地区试种油用向日葵,一般表现较好,尤其是西部,气候条件适宜于向日葵生长,产量也较高。1975年巴林左旗花吉拉嘎公社红卫七队,在盐碱地上试种9.4亩油用向日葵,平均亩产254斤。我省西部地区山坡薄
