1986年南通市积极开展了棉花高产示范竞赛活动,调动了广大棉农创高产的积极性。全市参加竞赛活动的有1.64万户,2.552万亩棉田。抽样调查16个单位1400亩棉田,亩实产皮棉平均76.72公斤,亩产值273.24元,比邻近单位增产19.08%,亩产值增加41.96元。
Nantong City in 1986 actively carried out a demonstration project of cotton yield contest, mobilized the enthusiasm of the majority of cotton farmers to achieve high yield. The city participated in the competition of 16,400 households, 2.552 million mu of cotton fields. The sample survey covers 1,400 mu of cotton fields in 16 units, with an average of 76.72 kilograms of lint per mu. The mu output value is 273.24 yuan, an increase of 19.08% over the neighboring units and an increase of 41.96 yuan in mu output value.
