China and the United States are major powers on the east and west coasts of the North Pacific Ocean. The realization of Sino-U.S. Relations must rely on the sea. At the end of the eighteenth century, the United States opened up the Pacific route between China and the United States. By the beginning of the 19th century, the interaction between the United States and China on the Atlantic coast was mainly trade and the Pacific commercial route was in an unstable state. As the United States expanded its foreign territories to reach the east coast of the Pacific Ocean, the Pacific routes developed rapidly. By the end of the 19th century, the United States opened up a new colony in the Pacific Ocean and provided more facilities for Sino-American exchanges and formed a stable Pacific route. The Pacific route, which is controlled by the Americans, has a significant impact on the development of China and the United States.
