高产优质的木本油料植物油橄榄由欧洲的社会主义明灯——阿尔巴尼亚引种我国以后,已经在我省盛开友谊之花,结出丰硕的友谊之果。为了使中阿友谊树在我省更多地方生根开花,有必要对油橄榄的生物学特性进行了解,而为有关栽培技术措施提供一定依据。1974年湖北省林科所与华中农学院园林系植物组协作,对油橄榄的花芽分化作了初步观察,希望达到以下目的:
