The tumor is caused by the activation of proto-oncogene and the inactivation of tumor suppressor gene, resulting in abnormal proliferation and differentiation of cells. It is also the result of abnormal apoptosis. In the occurrence and development of gastric cancer, not only excessive proliferation of cancer cells, but also abnormal apoptosis of cancer cells, both of which are the biological basis for the occurrence and development of gastric cancer [1]. In this study, immunohistochemical two-step method was used to observe the expression of apoptosis-related gene Sumivin and tumor suppressor gene p16 in gastric cancer tissue and adjacent normal tissue, and to explore their roles and significance in the occurrence and development of gastric cancer. 1 Materials and Methods 1.1 Clinical data January 2010 to June 2013 in our hospital by surgery
