今年新学年开学伊始,我省连续发生两起学校房屋垮塌伤人的严重事故。一起是九月三日下午,遂宁市市中区河东小学,一间教室的中梁遭白蚁蛀空,突然断裂垮塌,砸伤学生十八人;另一起是九月二十五日上午,屏山中学一幢一九八○年新修的教学楼木屋架下弦断裂,房顶垮塌,砸伤学生九人。各地应从中吸取教训,高度重视学校校舍安全。为了严防危害师生安全和影响正常教学秩序的类似事故再度发生,必须认真加速中、小学的危房修缮和改造工作,为此,特再重申:
