In recent years, the mortality rate of the 40-year-old male in Russia has risen, which has aroused the attention of many experts and scholars, and has also aroused the concern of the Russian government. Some experts pointed out that for a developed country in a peaceful period, this is unprecedented. In 1999, with the exception of Africa, where AIDS was rampant, only Haiti reported that its male mortality rate was higher than that of Russia. The current life expectancy of Russian men is 59 years, while the life expectancy of men in three quarters of the world’s countries is above this age, including many relatively underdeveloped countries such as Nicaragua and Vietnam.
