Trade is undoubtedly the place of national interest. The growth of the wealth of a country depends on economic growth, and the space for economic growth depends on the expansion of the domestic consumer market and the expansion of international trade. All countries in the world, especially the developed countries in the West, are well versed in this theory. Therefore, trade frictions are by no means merely a contest between free trade and protectionism, but a mapping of national conflicts of interest. Trade frictions between China and the United States, as little as the anti-dumping duty on a piece of furniture, as far as the exchange rate disputes that affect the country’s financial security can all be attributed to the fierce competition between the industrial systems of the two countries that spill over the border.
