我县棉林套种大、小麦是在棉林套种蚕豆的启发下,经过多年反复试验、总结而成的一种比较好的棉麦两熟高产栽培技术。据调查,棉林套麦不仅大、小麦可以适时抢墒播种,发芽出苗快、苗子壮,成穗多,亩产315斤左右,比棉花拔秆后播麦增产10％以上,而且棉花能够延迟到收获完毕后拔秆,产量高,品质好,售价高。因此,近几年棉林套麦面积发展很快。全县套种面积,1981年为4.9万亩,占两熟棉田面积的二分之一;
