Human constitutionology studies human itself, which was proposed by Dr. Kuang. The study on human constitution in Chinese medicine has ever increased since the late 1970s. This review on the development of human constitutionology in Chinese Traditional Medicine (TCM) and west medicine is expected to give people with a different background to understand the establishment of this new subject, and its significance in promoting modization of TCM and multi-disciplinary collaboration in human study and as an individualized model guiding the re-orientation of mod medicine.
