At the end of August 2016, the NH-90 helicopter of the German Army’s 30th Transport Helicopters conducted an alpine transport test flight in the Alps in Mittenwald. It can be seen from the figure that the NH-90 uses two landing methods on a limited landing field. The background is the highest peak in Germany Zugspitze, 2900 meters above sea level. The NH90 is a medium-sized multi-purpose helicopter jointly developed by Britain, France, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands in September 1985. By the end of 2013, the German Army equipped a total of 80 aircraft and may purchase 22 more in the future. In December 2015, the Navy’s NH-90 helicopter, purchased by the German Navy, began production and flew in December 2016 with a scheduled service in 2019.
