我国粮食作物种植面积约17亿亩,其中水稻为5亿亩,占粮食作物面积近1/3,而产量却占粮食总产量的43-45%,据1982年统计,平均亩产325公斤,居世界第10位,虽高于世界平均单产189.6公斤的水平,却比朝鲜、日本、马来西亚、美国和澳大利亚等国都低。我省水稻面积250万亩,平均亩产400公斤。农垦系统38万亩,单产为475公斤。我县(原柏各庄农场)27万亩,单产达535公斤,近几年并连续出现单产700公斤以上的地块。而我国云南省宾川县6.87亩桂潮二号(籼稻)和3.99亩滇榆一号(粳稻)单产分别达到1010.09公斤和1005.15公斤。另据美国研究,水稻的生物产量为2400公斤,理论产量为1200公斤。可见水稻的增产潜力还是很大的。回顾与总结过去冀东滨海一季稻高产的实践经验,探讨水稻再高产的新途径,在主体配套技术方面,应重点抓好以下几项:

Review and summarize the past experience of Jidong coast of a quarter of high yield of rice to explore new ways for rice to re-high yield, the main supporting technology, should focus on the following:
