党的十八大报告指出:“必须坚持党的领导、人民当家作主、依法治国相统一,以保障人民当家作主为根本。”十八届三中全会通过的《中共中央关于全面深化改革若干重大问题的决定》明确指出,加强社会主义民主政治制度建设,推动人民代表大会制度与时俱进。这些重要论述,对进一步做好新时期地方人大工作指明了正确方向、提出了更高要求。各级人大必须坚持群众路线,推动人大制度和人大工作与时俱进,为实现中华民族伟大复兴的中国梦发挥应有的作用,
The report of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out: “We must uphold the leadership of the party, the people as the masters, the unity of governing the country by law, and safeguarding the people as the masters of their own affairs.” The “Resolution of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Comprehensively Deepening the Reform on Certain Major Issues ”clearly pointed out that strengthening the construction of a socialist democratic political system and advancing the system of the people’s congress go with the times. These important expositions point out the right direction and put forward higher requirements for further doing a good job in the work of local people’s congresses in the new period. The people’s congresses at all levels must uphold the mass line, promote the people’s congress system and the work of the people’s congresses with the times, and play their due role in realizing the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
