Problems, the skills and knowledge needed to solve problems, the learning group, the problem solving process, and the spirit of student self-learning are the five foundational elements of the PBL pedagogy that are interrelated and indispensable. This article will combine the current characteristics and requirements of tourism management courses in higher vocational education, puts forward the PBL teaching method in vocational tourism management teaching. Today’s economic construction is rapidly developing. Emerging industries and industries are emerging at any time, making the demand for different types and structures of talents continuously changing in society.
