沈怀荣是国防科学技术大学第一个博士学位获得者、全军第一个工学博士,专业技术少将,主要开展航天发射系统总体设计理论与技术方面的研究,现为装备学院教授,兵器发射理论与技术专业博士生导师,国务院学位委员会兵器学科通信评议组成员,国家自然科学基金委员会基金项目同行评审专家,国家新型运载火箭发射场建设论证专家组成员,全军维修技术科技进步奖评审专家组成员。曾获军队科技进步二等奖6项,三等奖4项,国家专利4项,享受国家政府特殊津贴,2003年荣获中国航天基金奖。
Shen Huai Rong is the first doctorate winner of the National Defense University of Science and Technology. He is the first doctor of engineering and major of the army in the PLA to conduct research on the theory and technology of the overall design of space launch systems. He is currently a professor of the Institute of Armament, Technical doctoral tutor, the State Council Degree Committee Weaponry Communications Review Group members, the National Natural Science Foundation of China fund project peer review experts, the national launch of a new rocket launcher demonstration team of experts, the army maintenance of technical progress awards review panel members . He won 6 second-class scientific and technological progress awards, 4 third-class prizes, 4 national patents, and enjoyed special government allowances. In 2003, he was awarded the China Aerospace Fund Award.
