运八C型运输机是中国陕西飞机总公司根据前苏联安-12E军用运输机定型生产的气密舱型运输机。该机头部略尖长,使用4台WJ-6型涡轮螺旋桨发动机,配用自动顺桨螺旋桨。运八C型运输机翼展38米,机长34.28米,机高11.16米,机翼面积121.86平方米,螺旋桨直径4.5米。它的最大起飞重量为61吨,最大载油量为22.909吨,最大有效载重量为20吨。本模型按原机约1:200的比例缩小而设计,为了制作方便已将机身改成平板型,并简化省略了起落架等部件。
