冯文潜先生早年留学欧美十余年,专攻哲学、美学,学识渊博,造诣极深,返国后除短时间在南京大学任教外,一生皆在南开大学工作,开设哲学、美学等多门课程,先后任教授。系主任、院长、图书馆馆长等职,以多病的身体,勇挑重担,忠心耿耿,数十年如一日,是张伯苓校长的得力助手之一。他的作风朴实无华,光明磊落,坦荡无私,教育青年不遗余力,桃李遍天下,堪称一代师表,永远受人尊敬怀念。 Mr. Feng Wenqian studied in Europe and the United States for more than ten years in his early years, specializing in philosophy, aesthetics, knowledgeableness and profound attainments.
