中国金属学会于1988年6月8日至10日在河北省石家庄市召开了地方学会组织工作会议。这次会议是从1979年恢复学会活动以来的第一次组织工作会议。得到了各省、市、自治区金属学会的重视,除三个省、自治区金属学会因故未到会外,26个省、市、自治区金属学会都派了代表参加。会议由中国金属学会副理事长兼秘书长陶少杰主持,河北省金属学会理事长魏亚同志致开幕词,河北省科协副主席段怀慈同志讲了话,她讲到,深化改革是每个学会应思考的问题,组织工作是学会工作的基础,是改革的一部分。这次组织工作会议,抓住了改革的方向,对学会的发展将会起到深远影响。
China Metallurgical Society held a local academic organization working conference in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province from June 8 to June 10, 1988.
