A new porous high-density polyethylene biomaterial, Pclyc-el ~ (Tm), has recently been used for human ossicular chain reconstruction. This material is made by hot-melt processing. This material is clinically considered to have better tissue tolerance but is not yet confirmed by histological or experimental animal histology. In order to study the histocompatibility and prognosis of Polycel ~ (Tm) implanted into the middle ear cavity of gerbils 1 ~ 5 days later, the sections were stained by optical microscope and transmission electron microscopy. Results Found, Polycel ~ (Tm) Ossuary complex prosthesis outside the middle ear mucosa. Mucosal tissue and bone tissue can grow into the periphery of the micropores, so its retention is better, but still see foreign body giant cells, vacuoles
