1949年1月31日,北平和平解放。2月3日,中央警卫团派出7个连共800多人,以“北平市公安总队”番号进入北平,一方面了解北平的各种情况,为党中央、毛主席驻北平的警卫工作作准备,另一方面担负以彭真为首的中共北平市委、以叶剑英为首的军管会,以及部分先期人城的中共中央机关、各主要民主人士、国民党和谈代表的警卫。以此为开端,拉开了创建新中国开国时期警卫工作的序幕。
January 31, 1949, Peking peaceful liberation. On February 3, the Central Security Guards Regiment dispatched a total of 7 800 officers and more to enter Peiping with the code of “Peiping Public Security Corps”. On the one hand, they learned various situations in Peiping and worked for the party Central Committee and the Chairman Mao’s security guard in Peiping On the other hand, they will take charge of the Beiping Municipal CPC Committee headed by Peng Zhen, the CMC held by Ye Jianying, and the security guards of the CPC Central Committee, leading democrats and representatives of the Kuomintang peace talks in some of the cities. As a starting point, it opened the prelude to the creation of a new guardianship during the founding of New China.
