胡明原名李琼英,出生海南原国务院副总理薄一波的妻子胡明,1919年10月出生于海南岛。她原名叫李琼英,也许是其父母想她当琼崖英雄而起此名,参加革命后改名为胡明,胡明聪明好学,听过看过读过的英雄故事都记得清楚。她崇拜民族英雄岳飞和替父征战的花木兰,立志舍生取义,憧憬做中国历史上的第二个女英雄。她16岁就投身革命,北上风云际会,同年加入中国共产主义青年团,1937年初入党,年仅18岁。曾任广东省青年群社宣传部长、中共广东省委秘书、中共中央组织部干事、中央党校研究员、中央妇委研究员,被誉为“海南奇女”。
Hu Ming, formerly known as Li Qiongying, was born in Hainan Island in October 1919, his wife, born in Hainan Province, the former vice premier of the State Council Bo Yibo. Her original name was Li Qiongying, perhaps her parents wanted her to be a hero of Qiongqia and her name changed to Hu Ming after taking part in the revolution. Hu Ming learned cleverly and read the heroic stories read and read it all well.
