边智慧同志是山西省公安厅交通管理局纪检组长。他1997年5月从省检察院调任该职时,正好赶上山西交警系统的“多事之秋”。边智慧同志以他严谨果敢的工作作风,坦荡磊落的胸襟,无私忘我的精神和坚韧不拔的毅力,紧紧围绕省纪检委、省公安厅、省交管局党委确定的中心工作,狠抓纠正行业不正之风,依法从严治警,严格治理公路“三乱”,为全省交警在短短时间内,有效消除“黎潞事件”带来的负面影响,重塑山西交警良好形象作出了不懈努力。
