一般的土法煉铜,都是采用木炭作为燃料,在全国范圍內大稿土法煉銅以后,木炭需要量大增,不但供应困难,而对森林的破坏更大,大家就形容土爐是“山老虎”。經过各地政治掛帅,深鑽苦干大闹技术革命,积极寻找代用品曾取得不少成績,焦炭、无烟煤都先后使用到煉銅上。在寻找代用品的要求下,我們會試用富源白煤(烟煤)来煉铜,証明在一定条件下是可以使用的。我們使用白煤煉铜是在土观音爐內进行的。銅矿石经过焙燒,曾用白煤和木炭各半混合使用,亦曾全部使用白煤,在正常配料中,用量都在爐料的20％至
