I think the serfdom system, the autocratic system, the village system and the Orthodox Church are the main factors restricting the development of Russia’s history. Understanding the causal relationship between the formation and evolution of these four systems, a thousand years of Russian history will also be completed. Cao Weian’s New Theory of Russian History (2002 edition of China Social Sciences Publishing House) takes the study of these four systems as the point of entry into the study of Russian history and has done some useful work in this regard
