海羣生是治疗絲虫病的特效药,有杀死幼絲虫和成虫的作用。它的毒力很低,仅有惡心、倦怠、思睡等副作用,一、二小时后即可恢复。服用海羣生在临床上所見的反应多是由於大量幼絲虫被消灭后所产生的異性蛋白而引起的。主要的症狀有寒战、發热、皮疹、皮膚痒、过敏性水腫、食慾減退、惡心、嘔吐、腹痛、便秘、头暈、头痛、关节痛等。护理人員發現上述症狀时立刻报告医师,以便及时处理,並用各种护理方法減輕病人的不适。
