This article describes how the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) should further reform and develop the six main issues facing it, and why addressing these pressing issues is a daunting task for health service managers. In 1984, from the Central Government to the subordinate units of the nine regional health bureaus in Wales, comprehensive management of health services was implemented; this laid the foundation for the current health service management system, marking the start of health services from the original form to the initiative. Management form transition. NHS managers must now pay special attention to issues such as planning arrangements, goal setting, policy management, resource allocation, and management reform of health services. The Common Management Plan of Wales, published in 1988, emphasizes basic management principles and provides for the preliminary arrangement and ultimate purpose of the NHS management work in Wales for the next five years. The plan also promotes the implementation of a “common plan” program. The development trend of health service management has a close relationship with the NHS reform plan set out in the government’s White Paper “Service for Patients” published in 1989. This article also elaborates on some of the new practices in promoting the reform of health services in Wales.
