舞台装置布景对于歌剧来说是极其重要的一种表演形式。它不仅能够为剧目创造适当的歌剧环境,更为重要的是,它可以将剧场内短暂的瞬间变为观众心目中的永恒。并且舞台装置运用多种造型艺术的手段表现出歌剧中特定的环境和角色的外部形象,以达到渲染舞台气氛,刻画人物性格的目的,所以艺术贴切的舞台布置也是歌剧创作极为重要的一环。舞台布景的艺术形式多种多样,可以无穷尽的发挥,但艺术形式的创造却被剧情内容相对制约着。与剧情相结合的布景艺术形式才能使整台演出发挥地淋淋尽致。舞台布景形式从平面到立面,从简单到复杂,由远及近,布景结构从点到线、单一到多色,从上至下,变化多样的舞台机关、精准的舞台吊杆的操控编程系统相辅相成的表现出剧情的深层内涵。
